‘Illegal Spying Below’: Blimp Flies over NSA Data Center to Protest Surveillance
The Electronic Frontier Foundation teamed up with Greenpeace and the Tenth Amendment Center to protest the NSA in a rather unique way: flying a giant green blimp over the huge NSA data center in Utah. And you’ll notice in the picture below that the blimp prominently featured an arrow pointing downwards with the caption “Illegal Spying Below.”

EFF’s activism director explained the unique method of protest thusly: “We’re flying an airship over the Utah data center, which has come to symbolize the NSA’s collect-it-all approach to surveillance, and demanding an end to the mass spying. It’s time for bold action in defense of our privacy.”
And if you’re wondering why Greenpeace is involved, their senior IT campaigner says “people cannot protect their right to clean air and water if our civil rights… are stripped away.”
