Interest In ’08 Clinton Backer Tom Buffenbarger Video Critiquing Obama Renewed

A survey of the MSNBC landscape last night has made clear that many of Obama’s fiercest defenders are coming to terms with their disappointment. In honor of this, Slate’s David Weigel dug up a dusty ol’ YouTube clip of Hillary Clinton supporter and union leader Tom Buffenbarger railing against Obama back in 2008. Buffenbarger, Weigel suggests, had it right all along.

The video dates back to the days of the Democratic primary, when Obama was the coolest guy in the world and promised that he wouldn’t extend the Bush tax cuts past their expiration date. These days, Obama’s barely the coolest guy in America, a fate that Buffenbarger ominously predicted to his audience.

Hope? Change? Yes We Can? Give me a break! I’ve got news for all the latte-drinking, Prius- driving, Birkenstock-wearing, trust fund babies crowding in to hear him speak! This guy won’t last a round against the Republican attack machine. He’s a poet, not a fighter.

“At the time,” Weigel writes, “Obama supporters thought Buffenbarger was ridiculously unfair. Now?” Well, now the video is tearing up Twitter, so it looks like you’re on to something, Mr. Weigel.

It turns out a lot of us that were saying these things (and were called RACIST for it) were right all along. I remember a radio station here in St. Louis playing Hollow Man by the Beatles in reference to BO and called all kinds of hate from the “latte-drinking, Prius- driving, Birkenstock-wearing, trust fund babies”. Turns out a community organizer with 1/2 a term in the senate wasn’t the best choice for the American people. By hay, Europe still likes him. As much good as that does us here at home.

Not only was most his list of remarks true, Foxnews on a weekly basis added to that list and still, the morons voted for this interloper. In two short years he has proved to be exactly what he, and his agenda is. If the voters of this country don’t start listening to what the facts are saying, instead of the sophomoric ra-ra, and empty slogans we will eventually slide into open street-warfare as the do-nothings, get slapped in the face with reality and the government FREE-STUFF ends. It shouldn’t take but another 5 years of the continuous economic backsliding to start the inevitable.
