Mediaite Weathers The Weather And Breaks All-Time Traffic Records

While Mediaite.com was down for almost two full days on October 30 and 31 as a result of Hurricane Sandy, the site still shattered previous traffic records in the month of October. According to Google analytics, the site and its syndicated content welcomed an all time high 8,876,559 unique visitors for the month. For the first time, Mediaite.com had over 4 million unique visitors (4.167,165).

Our network of sites, all of which suffered outages and issues at various points during the storm, also saw an all time high 17,675,621 unique visitors come to our seven sites and partner site GossipCop.com. The other highlights include Styleite.com breaking 1 million unique visitors for the second month in a row and TheMarySue.com, our year-and-a-half old site for “girl geeks” welcoming a record 933,932 unique visitors.

Congrats to everyone who made this happen and our thoughts remain with those (including our colleagues) still recovering from the storm.
