Mike Evans Now Says He Never Spoke To Hawaii’s Gov. About Obama’s Birth Certificate

Last week, celebrity journalist Mike Evans told KQRS a story we suspected would stir up a bit of attention: that Hawaii governor Neil Abercrombie (pictured) – who has taken a strong, very public stance against birthers’ claim that President Barack Obama may have not been born in the U.S. and is thus ineligible to be president – confided in him that he could not procure a copy of Obama’s birth certificate.

Now, Evans is telling Fox News that he is “remorseful and embarrassed” that he gave the impression that such a conversation had transpired and is calling his previous statement an “accident”:

Only this I can you tell you is 100 percent fact: that Neil never told me there was no birth certificate. I never talked to him.

I was on 34 radio stations that morning. That was the only station where I said, instead of saying ‘the hospital said there’s no birth certificate’ I misspoke and said Neil said that. I misspoke and I apologize for that. I apologize to Neil.

Evans also says he has, in fact, not spoken with Abercrombie since he has become governor.

He mispoke? Is he kidding? The guy went on in great deal over the course of about 2-3 minutes, giving background, personal memories , detailed recollections of his discussions with the Gov during the One’s big election Ball. Boy, if we could all just say that we mispoke in life, well, we can’t.

Clearly, there is no birth certificate. What people need to know is WHY is there no birth certificate? The POTUS owes it to the American public and indeed the world to answer this question honestly!

That is really awkward. I wouldn’t be critical of the Governor at all. He is a victim, not just of this guy misspeaking, but of being a truth seeker in Obama’s frogpond. I can certainly imagine a casual conversation where frustrated truth seekers find themselves agreeing about the details of an ongoing conspiracy to hide documents declaring the obvious to each other only to find later that the obvious may not actually have the kind of legal basis with which a governor must engage the public . It is awkward, it is innocent, and just illustrates the effect the evil of obfuscation that surrounds the POTUS.
Now lets see how long it takes for this guy to change his story.

This guy signed an affidavit that his superiors in Hawaii told him there was no birth certificate. He is in Kentuckey now. He has the freedom to speak freely because he no longer works for Hawaii elections board.

He now teaches English at Western Kentucky University while he works on his master’s degree,

Who are his “superiors?” How would they know details of a record that can only be released by the owner? Election officials have no access to BC records. It’s even a crime in some states to “peek” at such info when not authorized. Just more bogus birther crap. The affidavit is meaningless. The guy could be telling the truth but it doesn’t mean what he was told was true.

I know by now this nonsense about Obama’s birth is going to go on forever, even though it’s the stupidest non-interesting “conspiracy” ever invented. People are losing their homes, can’t find jobs, can’t afford their meds – do we really need to care where Obama was born? I don’t care if he was born on Mars, as long as he can do something to solve our problems.

This will go on and on and on. There will be people who won’t be satisfied. Face it, President Obama’s been President for over 2 years. Not only that, but in the teeny tiny, itty bitty, molecular chance (and I’m being very generous) that Obama was not born in Hawaii, he’d just be replaced by Joe Biden.

The birthers will not win this. This really is a non-issue.
