Rand Paul To Trump: I Want To See Your ‘Original Long-Form Certificate Of Republican Registration’
Republican Senator Rand Paul spoke in New Hampshire this morning to a group of Republicans and had some tough words for Donald Trump, the current leader amongst potential GOP primary voters. Urging that the party should “look to Republicans who not only talk the talk, but walk the walk,” Paul warned that once Republicans learn more about Trump, they are not going to like what they find out.
Paul joked to his audience:
“I’ve come to New Hampshire today because I’m very concerned. I want to see the original long-form certificate of Donald Trump’s Republican registration. Seriously, don’t you think we need to see that?”
Paul got more serious later, suggesting “it’s going to be hard for [Trump] to explain giving $4,800 to Harry Reid in the last cycle and giving $24,000 to Charlie Rangel.” And Paul doubted Trump should be complaining about Obama’s education, since Paul wondered “what economic school teaches you that you can have a bully for a president who sets the prices by just telling countries what price they should charge?”
With other prominent conservatives also not getting along with Trump, might the bombastic billionaire prove to be an even bigger headache for the Republican party then he already has been for Obama?
