Report: Joe Biden Skipping Campaign Stop In Tampa Next Week

The Associated Press is now reporting that Vice President Joe Biden will be skipping a scheduled campaign stop in Tampa next week during the Republican National Convention. An Obama campaign official told the AP that Biden will be putting off the trip so local law enforcement can keep a singular focus on the impending tropical storm heading for Florida.

Biden was initially scheduled to campaign in Tampa during the Republican’s convention “to counter their message,” and despite the dropped plans in that city, the vice president will still be traveling to Florida for campaign stops in Orlando and St. Augustine.
