Rush Limbaugh Condemns ‘All-Out Assault’ on Southern Culture
In the debates surrounding the Conservative Flag in the wake of the Charleston Shooting, Rush Limbaugh has made it clear that he views the media’s focus as an effort to blame conservatives for Charleston and attack American symbols. The radio host spoke today about how he views the focus as an “all-out assault” on the conservative way of life, and by extension, Southern culture.
Limbaugh stated that President Obama‘s administration feels less threatened by ISIS and incidents like the hacking of the Office of Personnel Management, than it does by “domestic political opposition.” “American conservatives are the threat,” Limbaugh stated before describing how the media and “the regime” feared conservatives who could take power away from them in the 2016 elections.
“The biggest threat they think they face is us. So anything that happens — such as this just horrible sad event in Charleston, South Carolina — immediately becomes something totally unrelated to what happened in the event. What now?”
“Southern culture is considered conservative, which is racist, sexist, bigot, homophobe. They’re getting rid of the flag, and they’re gonna get rid of any other poll they can. But it’s all about destroying what they think is the last Republican geographic stronghold.”
