So Whose Insanely Recognizable Voice Just Narrated Trump’s First Big TV Ad?

This morning, the Donald J. Trump campaign officially released its first big television ad aimed squarely at Democratic rival Hillary Clinton. The move comes months after the roll out of Clinton’s first spate of ads in key battleground states, just 80 days until the general election.

“In Hillary Clinton’s America, the system stays rigged against Americans,” begins the voice over in the ad, which is called, “Two Americas: Immigration.” The :30 second spot takes on border security and touts that under a Trump administration, American families will be safe from impending foreign threats.

But viewers are quick to notice that the actor narrating the spot has an incredibly recognizable voice, and it took the Mediaite morning staff a few minutes of digging on a few IMDB landing pages to uncover it: Bruce McGill.

The name may not ring all too familiar, but McGill’s face — and amazing body of work over decades — certainly will. The 66-year-old San Antonio native is a Rizzoli & Isles regular, and most famously appeared as D-Day in Animal House.

Funny enough, in 2001 McGill appeared in the Will Smith bio flick Ali as a Spanish-speaking Hispanic immigration official. Here’s a still of McGill in Legally Blonde 2 to make you say, “Ahh, yeah, that guy….”
