The BP Oil Spill ‘Junk Shot’ Explained (By Actual Experts)
So what is the “junk shot” exactly? It may sound like a weird local news anchor slip-up but in fact it’s BP Oil’s latest attempt to stop the gushing oil leak in the Gulf. The New York Times posted a graphic yesterday that explains how exactly the company intends to use golf balls, rubber, human hair, and other bits of “junk” in order to plug the hole (Jon Stewart’s explanation is here).
