DOJ Press Aide Talked About Stopping ‘Out of Control’ Attkisson in Email

Judicial Watch has obtained emails, through the Freedom of Information Act, that show an exchange in which a Department of Justice press aide talked about calling up Attkisson’s bosses because she was “out of control.”

Here is the email conservatives have been touting this evening as a smoking gun to show Attkisson was targeted by the government:

That is an email from former DOJ press aide Tracy Schmaler to Deputy White House Press Secretary Eric Schultz.

These are the two subsequent emails in the chain:

Attkisson alleges in her new book Stonewalled that a government agency that she cannot specifically identify hacked her computer and planted documents on it.
