An investigation by Roll Call suggests Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann may have used taxpayer dollars to pay for Tea Party rallies and for speakers at anti-Obama events. The subject was discussed on Fox Business Network’s The Willis Report where even if there was doubt regarding whether Bachmann violated any House rules, all on the panel seemed in agreement that Bachmann needs to be very careful moving forward.

Charles Rangel‘s recent conviction for ethics violations has inspired celebrities like Jon Stewart and the cast of Saturday Night Live to express their opinions of the beleaguered House representative. Yesterday, another unlikely voice entered the fray: Ben Stein, best known for expertly taking attendance in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and hosting a game show on Comedy Central from 1997 to 2003.

Rep. Charlie Rangel is in hot water for some shady behavior with his taxes that has gotten him congressional reprimands for ethics violations. Apparently the whole experience has made him a bit crabby, because when asked about the taxes on his properties in the Dominican Republic by MSNBC’s Luke Russert, he refuses to answer what “you know is a dumb question” and laments that NBC was once “a channel that did have some respect.”
