House Budget Committee chairman Paul Ryan appeared on Fox & Friends Wednesday morning to discuss the White House’s decision to cut and ration Medicare spending. “The President and his party leaders’ rhetoric never match up their agenda,” Ryan told host Gretchen Carlson, adding that he thinks things will be just fine for Republicans “once the dust settles” on budget discussions concerning Medicare.
Liberal Blog Falsely Accuses Fox & Friends Of ‘Inventing’ Labor Statistics Conspiracy
Friday’s encouraging jobs report has resulted in predictable agita from Republicans, who are scrambling to figure out how to sell themselves, in an improving economy, to sane America. On Monday morning’s Fox And Friends, Eric Bolling conspiratorially asked “Are they playing around with the numbers?”
The liberal blog Raw Story is accusing Fox and Friends of “inventing” a conspiracy around the jobs report, but that’s not true; Bolling simply neglected to credit the inventor of this silliness, Rep. Allen West (R-FL).
Gretchen Carlson Reacts To M.I.A. Giving The Finger: ‘Get A Life’
Those of you who didn’t use Madonna’s Super Bowl halftime performance as an excuse to go out and buy another bag of Extreme Buffalo Chili Cheesesteak Pizza Doritos might have noticed that singer M.I.A. — one of the 812 performers who joined Madonna onstage for her medley — saw it fit to give viewers the middle finger during her performance.
Important: Did Punxsutawney Phil See His Shadow?
Socialite and celebrity muse Punxsutawney Phil woke up this morning to the sound of his name, looked down at his “I Hate Mondays” T-shirt, and considered going back to sleep. He’d grown tired of the routine, weary from the pressure, disillusioned with his celebrity. But Phil is nothing if not a dutiful little groundhog, and so he allowed himself to be pulled out of a bed on this brisk February morning.

Romney Trashes Gingrich’s Debate Performances: ‘It’s Very Easy To Talk Down To A Moderator’
Following his “prebuttal” of the President’s State of the Union Address yesterday, Mitt Romney appeared on Fox and Friends this morning to give his “postbuttal” (What? That’s just called a “rebuttal”? Oh, I see). However, the conversation soon turned to Romney’s highest polling opponent in the GOP nomination race, Newt Gingrich. And, while Romney seemed more interested in talking about President Obama.
Stupid Bowl: 49ers Fans Boo Giants Players During National Anthem
The singing of The Star Spangled Banner at sporting events has long been fodder for viral video moments, and Sunday’s NFL Conference Championships were no exception. While Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler did his very best impression of a Wookie being castrated, San Francisco 49ers fans showed their true colors by booing New York Giants players as they appeared on the stadium Jumbotron…while Kristin Chenoweth sang the National Anthem.
Jerry Springer Rips Into Fox News, Accuses Network Of Bashing President Obama ‘Every Day’

Awkward: Karl Rove Calls Fox & Friends Host Alisyn Camerota ‘Gretchen’
Karl Rove is a regular on Fox & Friends, both the weekday and weekend editions (which have different hosts). It had been a while since he had been on either– not since 2011, in fact– and so he had prepared a cute New Year’s Resolution joke about how he would promise to protect the female host from the other two jokers, except it appears he prepared it for the weekday edition. And so, this morning, he mistakenly promised Alisyn Camerota that he would protect Gretchen Carlson from her co-hosts. Oops!
Fox and Friends On Occupy Seattle Clash With Police: ‘They’re Time People Of The Year, Celebrate Guys!’
Friday morning, Fox and Friends showed a video of Occupy Seattle protesters throwing bricks, shooting flares, and tossing bags of paint at Seattle Police in a standoff between the two factions. Eleven protesters were arrested, and later claimed that police used unnecessary force against them. The police department stood by the force used, saying police felt they were in danger.

Coming in second place was Admiral William H. McRaven, the man who organized the SEAL Team Six raid that led to the death of Osama bin Laden.
Gretchen Carlson Wonders When Christmas Police Will Force Her To Take Down Her Home Decorations
On Friday’s Fox and Friends, the three defenders of the Yuletide were lamenting yet another alleged assault on Christmas, when Gretchen Carlson speculated it was only a matter of time before local authorities forced residents to have to take down their own decorations. Co-host Brian Kilmeade was reading a viewer email that said if “you and your children want to see Christmas displayed, put one up in your own yard. Nobody’s stopping you.” “Well at least not yet!” Carlson exclaimed, spurring off-camera chuckles. “Just wait for the town ordinance when you can’t have it!”

The topic? Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, the Rankin/Bass stop motion Christmas classic.
The Mediaite Muppet Show: Media Figures And Their Muppet Equivalents
Back when Mediaite was still in its infancy, when all the writers you know and love were adorable baby versions of themselves being cared for by a mysterious, sock-wearing woman named Nanny, a tradition was formed. Whenever the holidays would roll around, the Mediaite brain trust would choose the big pop cultural event of the year and find all the media counterparts for the various characters. At the time, back in the sepia-toned days of 2009, that cultural event was Harry Potter. Well, now it’s 2011…

On Tuesday morning’s Fox and Friends, Michele Bachmann was discussing her new memoir and how her family lived in poverty, when co-host Gretchen Carlson revealed the Republican presidential candidate was her babysitter when she grew up in Minnesota. “When I was 12-years-old, I had to get a job babysitting and I paid for my own glasses, my own clothes, my lunch at school. We just didn’t have anything.” “Speaking of babysitting, one of the families you babysat was my family,” Carlson disclosed. “That’s right!” Bachmann exclaimed. “One of the best families ever.”

On Thursday morning’s Fox and Friends, co-host Gretchen Carlson took White House Press Secretary Jay Carney to task for a “Bible Blunder” while responding to a question about President Obama‘s “In God We Trust” zinger. Carney quoted the Bible as saying ““The Lord helps those who help themselves,” and while Carlson rightly points out that the phrase does not appear in the Bible, she fails to note that the White House issued a correction hours later.
Gretchen Carlson To Jon Huntsman’s Daughters: Why Is Your Dad At 0% In The Polls?
The daughters of Jon Huntsman appeared on Fox and Friends Monday morning and discussed their goofy new parody of Herman Cain‘s bizarre viral video that “shamelessly promotes” their dad. “This is kind of fun, we’re all about humor and fun” explained Liddy Huntsman, the one who came up with the video and as her sister described, “the troublemaker of the group.” Host Gretchen Carlson then asked why their father wasn’t registering with the American public?
War On Halloween? Fox and Friends Worry About The Death Of Another American Tradition

Fox and Friends ‘Clarifies’ Its False Reporting About ‘Hiroshima Apology’ WikiLeaks Cable
Thursday, we reported on a Fox and Friends story that contained enough whole cloth to start its own garment district. Among other things, Fox and Friends falsely reported that a WikiLeaks diplomatic cable showed that President Obama proposed a visit to Hiroshima to apologize for the WWII atomic bombing of that city, and of Nagasaki. We contacted Fox News about the inaccuracies in the story, and they promised us that they would “address” the story Friday morning.
Fox and Friends Falsely Reports On Hiroshima WikiLeaks Cable; Claims Apology Was White House Idea
On Thursday morning’s Fox and Friends, the titular chums revealed a doozy about the WikiLeaks cable that’s getting a lot of attention now. The cable mentions a Japanese official calling an apology for the bombing of Hiroshima a “non-starter,” but contains nary a mention that an apology was ever offered, by President Obama or anyone else in his administration. But hat didn’t keep co-hosts Steve Doocy, Brian Kilmeade, and Gretchen Carlson from saying it was a White House idea.

Co-host Gretchen Carlson also lamented how unfortunate it was that the man, Mark McKim, would “get a lot of publicity about this.”
