Wishing Christmas Was Today Throughout The Years: The Different Versions Of The SNL Holiday Hit

I Wish it was Chrismas Today video

This Saturday, as with any time an old star comes back to host, Saturday Night Live looked to its past. They recreated a couple of host Jimmy Fallon’s classic sketches and, since the season was right, they even brought back Horatio Sanz, Tracy Morgan, and Chris Kattan to perform “I Wish It Was Christmas Today,” the holiday hit they first did back in 2000. The goofy tune is actually one of the few Christmas songs not written 50 years ago to have had much staying power so its unsurprising that Fallon and Sanz have performed it a number of times in the past decade. We’ve collected all the different versions below.

Tracy Morgan Returns To Nashville To Continue His Apologypalooza

Tracy Morgan has returned to Nashville to apologize not only to Kevin, the man who posted the original Facebook note and brought mass media attention to Morgan’s rant, but also to other audience members (despite reports that not everyone in attendance that night reacted to his statements with contempt or offense), his friends, his family, and “everyone is every community” whom he may have offended.

Tracy Morgan Loves His Dead Gay Son

Tracy Morgan eventually apologized for his recent anti-gay tirade, even telling our sister site GossipCop that he “clearly went too far” and that his comments were “not funny in any context.” Besides, you guys, his friends know what’s in his heart.

To further make amends (or, you know, improve his public image), Morgan has now announced his desire to attend a rally in favor of same-sex marriage. In an interview with GlobalGrind conducted by Russell Simmons, Morgan says that he would likely love his son even more were he ever to come out

Sometimes it’s not a good idea to share what’s on your mindgrapes. Many Hollywood celebrities (and political pundits) have been weighing in on Tracy Morgan‘s controversial anti-gay remarks in the middle of a standup routine in Nashville, and now the fallout has reached the office of Congressman Allen West.

Over the weekend, Facebook user Kevin Rogers posted a note about a recent set he attended by comedian and 30 Rock actor Tracy Morgan at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.

You can read Rogers’ full account from that night on Facebook, but here’s the gist of it (note that the language used – I’m leaving it uncensored – may be offensive to some readers).

Tracy Morgan Continues Quest To Let World Know He Finds Sarah Palin Physically Attractive

Tracy Morgan video

Sunday night, actor Tracy Morgan continued his quest to let the entire world know that he finds politician Sarah Palin to be physically attractive. Morgan had previously made his controversial statements during a TNT basketball game, only to be denounced by those that wish to keep it a secret that, in addition to being a former Governor of a state of the union, Palin also meets certain ideals of human beauty. However, last night during the SAG Awards Pre-Show, Morgan repeated his dangerous opinion, proclaiming Palin to be the “hottest MILF in the world.”

Unscripted: Tracy Morgan Calls Sarah Palin ‘Serious Masturbation Material’

Actor/comedian Tracy Mogan stars alongside Tina Fey in NBC’s 30 Rock, so when he appeared for a surprise interview before TNT’s telecast of the Miami Heat vs. the NY Knicks game, the question presented to him seemed innocent enough. Co-hosts Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley needed someone to settle a disagreement as to who is more attractive: Ms. Fey or former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin . An odd question to be sure, but certainly no odder than the response they received from the unpredictable actor.

I Think That’s A Conehead: Barneys’ Weird SNL Windows

This week, Barney’s unveiled their annual holiday windows, this year celebrating Saturday Night Live. The displays are heavy on allusion to various characters, scenes and personalities from the series’ 35 years – but deciphering each of those references is hindered by the primary mode of presentation, papier-mâché. I can’t help but suspect that this medium was chosen primarily to evoke sympathy – after all, it’s possible, if not probable, that they were actually made by a class of fourth graders.

Winners And Losers: The Week Cable News Floated Away In A Balloon Without A Boy

It’s Friday, which means it’s time to separate the chumps from the champs in Mediaite’s new “Winners and Losers” — our scorecard of who rocked and who flopped in the week’s headlines. This week’s contenders include: Tracy Morgan, dropping F-bombs on former co-stars, Rush Limbaugh, dropped from his NFL bid or Meghan McCain, threatening to drop Twitter.

Twacy! Tracy Morgan, The Internet Needs You

Twitter is a place for many things: Breaking news, political movements, movie reviews, transparent flirting, sardonic cats. But for all the voices on Twitter bleating for attention, famous and un, one remains silent: Tracy Morgan.

Jon Hamm’s Grandma Doesn’t Like Don Draper (and Conan is a Lousy Interviewer)

VIDEO

Did Conan miss the part where everyone is excited about Mad Men? All the reviews and previews and tie-ins excuses to write about Mad Men because people love it? Sesame Street is doing a parody this year, for God’s sake. Conan, wake up!
