Lubna Hussein, a Sudanese reporter whose column for the popular Arabic newspaper Al-Sahafa, “Men Talk,” regularly criticizes Islamic fundamentalists and the Sudanese government, was sentenced to 40 lashes for the crime of “wearing pantaloons.”
