Barney Frank On Elizabeth Warren: ‘She’s The Ultimate Outsider Who’s Been Very Effective Inside’

Outgoing Congressman Barney Frank appeared on Morning Joe Monday and gushed about Elizabeth Warren‘s senatorial prospects in Massachusetts. “She’s the ultimate outsider, but she’s the outsider who has been very effective inside,” Frank observed, noting the latest poll has shown her ahead in the state.

“She showed a shrewdness,” Frank added. “She was a kind of a pragmatic ideologue, and that’s the best combination.”

I think she’s a fascinating story,” co-host Mika Brzezinski said.

“She’s very likable,” Frank gushed, later switching gears to take a shot at Mitt Romney. “You’ll see that in the Republican primary, Mitt Romney just isn’t likable when you cut through everything else. I had that problem too. Surprisingly, a lot of people didn’t think I was cuddly.”

“Who would say that?” asked Brzezinski.

“Who knew?” joked Frank.

Isn’t she the lady who thinks businesses succeeded because they used a public road…..?

Says the man who sanctioned and participated the largest financial debacle in US history. I couldn’t continue to watch this a**hole.

  • Anonymous

Yes, and she took responsibility for then rejected responsibility for the intellectual foundation ( LOL) of OWS.

What a joke, Warren is just Coakly with personality and the Dem machine behind her because the Dems can’t imagine another embarrassing defeat by a republican in ubber liberal Massachusetts.

I would like to know how much taxpayer money the uber liberals from Mass have funneled into that State and into their personal bank accounts!!! I’ll bet it would be shocking!!

Barney Frank should be in prison picking up soap in the shower!!

“I created much of the intellectual foundation for what they do,”“I support what they do.”
-Liz Warren on the Flea bag movement.

Very effective in costing already broke municpalties and buisnesses millions of dollars in needless property damage and overtime.

With friends like that who needs enemas?

She makes Martha Coakley look like John Birch.

Give me a break.  Fannie and Freddie certainly participated in the housing debacle, but they were not major players in it.  They jumped on board too late.

That’s a cartoon version of what she said.

  • Anonymous

    I saw what she said.
    Cartoon is right.

His enthusiasm for her candidacy makes me oppose her instantly

An endorsement from Barney can only mean something bad is going to happen.

Morning Joe has a love-fest with Warren. I remember Warren being on the MJ show many times and so what MJ folks say means squat as it relates to Warren.

“Sadly mistaken” about what?  I’m not saying that Fannie and Freddie didn’t mismanage funds.  I’m saying that they didn’t cause the mortgage crisis as Free Man implies.

If you think those articles refer to the “largest financial debacle in US history,” I’m afraid it’s you who are sadly mistaken.

Let me see if I follow the logic here:
    1. MJ likes Warren.
    2. She has been on the show many times.
Therefore:  What they say with regard to her is meaningless.

    Yep.  Airtight.

So we are agreed that you presented a distorted, bastardized version of her argument.  Thanks for clearing that up.

  • Anonymous

Yes, some of her work highlighted the issues that provoked OWS.  No, she does not claim direct responsibility for the movement.  It’s actually not all that hard a distinction to grasp.

Barney was the great enabler and protector to FNM and FRE … he should be arrested for his role in the housing debacle

Barney spit that hotdog out of your mouth before speaking.

A cartoon version would seem to appropriate coming from Ms.Warren who is herself a caricature of intellectual.

  • Anonymous

If Warren’s a caricature of an intellectual, what’s Cain? A stick figure?  Or Perry?  A scribble? Or Hannity?  A smudge?
