Breaking ‘News’: MSNBC’s Ed Schultz Refused To Buy Fox’s Eric Bolling A Drink!

In case you haven’t noticed, Fox News does not care much for its competitors. Nor is there any love coming back the other way (although it always seems particularly silly coming from Fox considering, ratings-wise, it’s basically like Goliath refusing to shut up about how much he hates that damn David guy). So, today on The Five, when they took on the story of President Obama meeting with progressive media big wigs, it wasn’t too surprising the direction the segment went. At first things focused on Obama but it was eventually pointed out that, well, President Bush used to do the same exact thing with conservative radio hosts. So then the question became “Fine, Obama meets with liberals. But why’d he have to meet with such losers?!”

Rachel Maddow? Ew! Ed Schultz? Gross! Liberal bloggers? Don’t even name them!

Those people don’t get anywhere near the ratings of Fox News. And, as Eric Bolling pointed out, it gets worse…

“I went over to Del Frisco’s over there and I met Ed Schultz by accident, I bumped into him. I bought him a scotch and, you’d think, being a successful TV guy, he’d buy me a drink back. Greg, he never once offered to buy a drink back.”

Jeez, Mr. Obama. You might as well start hanging out with Occupy Wall Street protesters. Ewwwwwwww!

Seriously, I love so much that the Fox News and MSNBC headquarters are literally across the street from each other. It’s like a town with two high schools. I like to imagine the Fox & Friends gang sneaking into Rockefeller Center at night to spray paint “MSNBC sux!” on the walls while the Morning Joe crowd is simultaneously stealing Fox News’ mascot. To use Bolling’s logic, considering both networks are filled with such successful people, you’d think they’d just get over it. Someone needs to just make them all join an intramural softball league so they can settle it once and for all.
