I’ll give Bush credit: He’s doing a good job in these interviews. He’s explaining his views, he seems to have a sense of humor about himself, and he’s not getting in the gutter and dissing people (ie, the current President).

Well, you can be a great guy and still not be a great president. I think Bush seems like a really good guy, but I thought he was a horrible Commander in Chief. I think Mike Huckabee seems like the nicest man in the world, but I’d never vote for him.

Bush deserves credit for taking the high road. In these ultra-partisan times, with a seemingly endless barrage of back-and-forth sniping, it’s refreshing to hear someone say they want to part of it.

I do think in Bush’s latest interviews, he is doing that in two instances. 1- staying out of and not condoning the divisivness in politics these days. Calling counter productive 2-not giving the name calling of himself a second thought and stating (at least in one interview I saw) that Obama should not either. First of all, some peoples handicap is not always a visual one. Second, most people with class would approach the woman outside (without a camera) and remind her why she should not take up a handicap parking space. And just how do you know whether she just forgot to put her handicap sign on her mirror? or perhaps since it looked like a convenience store knew she would be in and out in minutes not hours and didn’t bother to hang it.

my life experiences, my opinions, my decisions. you can try to convince me otherwise, but i used to be a left leaning, dem voting independent. now i am a right leaning, never voting dem again independent.

i know who i have encountered, i know the hate i have personally experienced, and i know they lies i have witnessed. and i know the hypocrisy and BS the dem party has engaged in. i am not blind, and i know when repubs screw up too, but i have never, ever experienced such hypocrisy, hate, lies, bs and flat out nastiness as I have being an Hillary supporter, being attacked from the left. and once i began to dig, examine and research the right on my own, i discovered so much of what i previously believed was flat out wrong. i was informed in the past, but not thoroughly engaged as i am now. and there is a WORLD of difference between what the liberal MSM feeds you every day and the truth. i prefer the truth. and i know what nastiness i have experienced coming from the left by people here – nothing i want to be a part of.

i have mostly liberal friends – and many of those people who once thought i was *so smart *- now many of them can barely tolerate me because i didn’t support/don’t like obama. The same friends that used to forward me anti-Bush emails, Bush as monkey emails, Bush is Nazi emails, now think it’s racist to criticize Obama, even get mad at me for not liking Obama. in my experience have found that liberals love to believe they are big tent, embracing open minded liberals, but they are anything but if you do not fall in line and believe as they do. you can deny it all you want, but that is MY experience.

my decision/transition didn’t happen over night. it was over a 2 – 3 year period. It was after being called racist millions of times just for preferring Hillary over Obama. After the Democratic party took delegates from Clinton and gave them to Obama. After Donna Brazile promised if the Super Delegates decided the election she would quit, because Hillary was winning the SD’s, and then when Obama did, she was happy. After I watched them toss Hillary under the bus for an inexperienced junior senator simply because of his skin color. After NOW and feminist groups supported Obama over Hillary. After I saw how the liberal media and supposed feminists treated a woman running for president, and then VP. How they attack Christians, but defend Muslims, despite their stance on gays and women. I no longer rank the social issues of the same importance. And I am fully disgusted at the way *liberals* treat the Palins. Disgusted! I get called a *teabagger* even though I am not a tea partier. I get called a racist, even though I am not. Yea…no thanks.

no doubt Clinton has her haters. And honestly, when she backed Obama I had to rethink my support of her. Unless she decided to challenge him as an Indy in 2012, I no longer support her. And it would still depend on what her platform is.

She gets her amount of hate from the right, and the left – although the left miraculously liked her once Obama appointed her as SOS. They sure didn’t like her when she was challenging Obama. And I absolutely do not like the personal attacks when I see it from the right. Attack her politics all you want, but not the personal ugliness. Hopefully after witnessing the attacks on the Palins the conservatives who do attack Hillary personally will realize the error of their ways. I will say though that she has been around a long time and has made her fair share of enemies – blaming her husbands infidelity charges on a *fast right wing conspiracy* being one of the reasons. You would also think that liberals who dislike the ugliness they see from the right towards Clinton would take it down a notch towards Palin and her daughters, but that is certainly not the case, is it?

Let me tell you why I said that. When Obama was in the running. On the message boards, I was complety shocked at just how much racism was still alive and well in my state. All the closet racists came out from under their rocks. Literally. And I am not talking about statements that were eh questionable. I mean straight out n****er this and n*****er that. And definetly no n*****er in the white house. I live in a medium size, rather diverse city that I thought had progressed rather well in the race relations dept.
