This is just more political drama. Cleaver is right about one thing, we don’t know how bad this will all look in the end. However, the Republicans have no cause to “party” since they compromised out meaningful cuts and substantial fiscal responsibility. This is a continuation of the debt debacle more than a debt deal.

Listen to Mr Cleaver closely in the video clip, Mr Cleaver wanted a balanced deal that would have preserved all the entitlements, make no cuts. Mr Cleaver would have made no spending cuts, instead made a balanced approach to lower debt by raising taxes alone. Mr Cleaver is an idiot, he does not understand that the main problem is exploding expenditures.
Obama is perhaps the most liberal president on par with Johnson and FDR. He was able to pass the Obamacare, a dream of progressives since Truman. Obama is also pragmatic like Clinton in making compromises with conservatives so he can govern.
My only problem with the compromises is what happened in 1982 and 1990, these two big compromises included cuts in the spendings that never materialized.

Walker is right, ‘public-employee-unions’ have selfishly manipulated the political system to extract dues and enrich themselves. They are fighting to minimize any cuts, and if they get their way, it will INCREASE the chances of reducing the credit rating of the US.
