Fox Anchor: Will Anti-Abortion Amendment Lead To “Low-Income Babies”?
On America’s Newsroom yesterday, host Alisyn Camerota asked her guests about the recent amendment to the Senate health care bill that would prohibit the use of federal funds to subsidize abortions, and it’s affect on “low-income women.” Camerota asked: “If there is no federal money used to subsidize abortions for low-income women, doesn’t that mean there will be more low-income babies?”
The question was given to Kate Obenshain who is part of Young America’s Foundation. She seemed surprised by the line of inquiry, stammering a bit before clarifying, “Do you mean because more children will be born because the government won’t pay to have them terminated?”
