Fox’s Bolling: Spicer Leaving Is ‘Really Positive’ for WH, He ‘Became Too Much of the Story’

Fox News’ Eric Bolling said today that Sean Spicer leaving is a “really positive thing for the White House communications department.”

He said that Spicer not only had trouble “managing the message,” but he became “too much of the story” between the “internet memes” and the lampooning he received on SNL and on late night.

“Sean Spicer, nice guy,” Bolling said. “But President Trump ran and won on draining the swamp, and the swamp happens to be filled with longtime DC types like Sean Spicer.”

He called Anthony Scaramucci a “huge upgrade” for the White House comms department, though as Sebastian Gorka noted a bit later, Scaramucci is not directly replacing Spicer, Sarah Huckabee Sanders is.

Bolling did also say that President Trump is still “his own best spokesman, bar none.”
