Fox’s Neil Cavuto Undergoes Open Heart Surgery

Fox News and Fox Business host Neil Cavuto has taken an extended leave of absence after undergoing open heart surgery Monday.

Fox issued a statement Tuesday saying Cavuto “came through it with flying colors. Knowing Neil, he’ll be back as soon as he can, but he is slated to return to hosting his three programs on Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network later this year. Everyone here is wishing him a speedy recovery.”

Cavuto has not been on the air since May, with a series of guest hosts filling in for him. Details of his ailment are not yet known, but Cavuto has long been open about his struggle with multiple sclerosis and his advocacy for others with the disease.
