As TV By The Numbers pointed out:

    http://tvbythenumbers.com/2009/09/16/cable-news-ratings-for-tuesday-september-15-2009-fox-news-25-54-primetime-demo-nearly-equals-combined-competitions/27394

Cable News Ratings for Tuesday September 15, 2009: Fox News 25-54 Primetime Demo Nearly Equals Combined Competition’s

    25-54 Prime Time
    FNC – 928,000 viewers
    CNN – 262,000 viewers
    MSNBC –378,000 viewers
    CNBC – a scratch w/46,000 viewers
    HLN – 247,000 viewers

Wow, you mean FNC isn’t only for old people??! ;)

  • libra blue

Even Anderson’s race baiter discussions between Obama lap dog Roland Martin and right wing nut Mark Williams didn’t do much for his numbers. Greta aside, it isn’t even worth mentioning how badly he lost there, he lost to Olbermann and Maddow repeats in the demo and he lost to Olbermann’s and Maddow’s live shows in the total viewers. He also lost to Larry King in both the demo and the total viewers.

There is a a slight sign of progress, he did beat Grace.

  • DWHarper

Wow! I guess sanity is not required to be a ratings winner in America. And to Captain America “Wow, you mean FNC isn’t only for old people??! ;),,, Crazy and stupid knows no age barrier

  • pinstripes1

The numbers don’t lie. How these “competitors” even stay on the air is amazing to me!

  • JimW

This is great news! Jimmy Carter, ACORN, the unions, cap and trade, the healthcare disaster, and the Czars… Everything is going south for the most arrogant administration in American history.

  • SuperSmart

    Go Beck Go!!!!!!11 Woo Hoo!!!1

When the drooling crazies who make up the Fox News audience crave some insanity… they turn to Beck!

(FNC/Beck, if you ever use the above line in a promo, credit this way please.)

So who is the first to wash their hands of all of this paper-thinly veiled race-baiting when it all goes sideways?

  • JimW

SuperSmart (alas) seems to be off his medication.

FOX NEWS like the tea baggers make way too much out of their numbers. Cable News is 3% of the overall TV audience. Katie Couric on a bad night gets almost three times the ratings any Fox show does.

Just like with the tea baggers. They draw 70,000 people to D.C. in a nation of 130 MILLION voters. Obama’s inaugural drew 2 million people to D.C.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Daniel-Torluemke/1235865300 Daniel Torluemke

Come on Jim W. How can you as a big Bush supporter dare call any other administration “arrogant?” CZAR”S? Did you know your boy Bush appointed 47 of them? LOL

“Health care disaster?” I know, it is going to be a total disaster for millions of American’s if the Republican’s save the status quo.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Daniel-Torluemke/1235865300 Daniel Torluemke

ACORN? Can someone explain to me why the REPUBLICAN CONGRESS since 1994 gave ACORN all of that money?

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Daniel-Torluemke/1235865300 Daniel Torluemke

Every right wing nut in America flocks to Fox News. So what?

  • JimW

    Daniel, calm down.
    1. Fox news really does get a huge audience, and they do seem to be leading the debate.
    2. The number of the people at the 9/12 rally is still debated. Let’s just say there was an ENORMOUS turnout.
    3. George Bush had 15 Czars.
    4. The healthcare initiative of Obama seems to be in disarray. Republicans don’t want what’s out there and neither do democrats. The only thing that’s for sure is that $500,000,000,000 (!) is going to be cut from Medicare and 30 million new people will be added to the rolls and a large percentage of doctors will retire and there will not be enough available healthcare for anybody.
    5. ACORN is abhorrant no mater who funded it.
    6. Like it or not, people are listening to Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly and their opinions really do matter!

Last night- The Factor (one airing–not 2 like Katie gets with the West Coast show)

What’s that Daniel??? Katie gets 3 times? Katie actually loses to BILL when you figure in his show and a replay! Don’t forget, Katie’s measly 5M is with 2 airings! The East Coast and West Coast feeds. And Bill is in the ballpark with her with just one airing of his show!!! When will liberals ever learn??!

Also of note how FNC’s audience is the most balanced of any network. And it has great numbers of Democrats and Independents. That’s why FNC is killing in the ratings and why MSNBC and CNN are treading water. MSNBC and CNN are more geared towards the liberal extremists.

  • m

Fox has a balanced audience? 90% of Fox News viewers voted McCain-Palin:
    http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/2008/08/07/fox_news/

  • CaptainAmerica

Yes, Fox has the most balanced audience. You might want to look at the Pew Study from August of 2008

    Fox News’ Viewers are ‘Balanced!’

    http://people-press.org/reports/pdf/444.pdf

According to a new study from The Pew Research Center (.pdf) Fox News’ viewers are the most evenly divided among Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. Fox News really is balanced after all! I’m surprised by CNN’s numbers, however. I would have thought CNN’s numbers would have looked more like Fox’s.

    CNN: 51% Democrats, 18% Republicans, 23% independents

    MSNBC: 45% Democrats, 18% Republicans, 27% independents

Fox News: 33% Democrats, 39% Republicans, 22% independents

Also, Fox had the most balanced coverage of the election according to non-partisan studies.

  • Nachi

Interesting to see how many of America’s “Little People” – those who worship hatred, ignorance, personal-failure, bitterness – actually do watch Fox. Neanderthoid malcontents. Yup! God Bluss Murcuh!!

  • m

If Fox News has ‘the most balanced’ party self-identification out of all three networks, yet 90% of them voted McCain/Palin – doesn’t that suggest brainwashing?

  • http://www.soundst.com locascioa

I have to admit, that it is really fun to watch the liberal audience squirm for a change. There is no way that they will ever admit that Fox is fair and balanced. I personally think it is simply closer to fair and somewhat more balanced than the other networks…
Oh, and guess what…the majority seems to agree with me.! Beck is certainly out there, but maybe his numbers wouldn’t be so big if the other networks actually had a little bit of Beck in them as well…anyone who is not a screaming liberal struggles to call any of the other networks home. They are left with no choice but to head to Fox…
This is not as much a case of Fox bringing in the audience, but more of a case of the other networks alienating their existing audiences. Watching news is alot like dining out, after one or two bad meals in the same diner, it is hard to come back for more…

  • thablackmarkit

Bush had a few czars but they weren’t radical self proclaimed communists who wanted ban hunting and give animals lawyers. I see what this libtard cass sunstein is trying to do. First ban hunting, then say now that there’s no need for guns now that there’s no hunting. Is it common sense to disarm the American public in the face of terrorism?

The more you libtards use Bush to justify obongos actions, the more you prove he’s not change. Not change, never was, never will be. Just an other politician. Change must come from the people.

    NO MORE BUSH/OBAMA POLICIES !!!!!!!!!!!
Demand third party in the primaries. Ditch acorn and go back to ballots.
