Jenny McCarthy Basically Confirms on Twitter She’s Also Leaving The View
Without saying so directly, The View co-host Jenny McCarthy took to Twitter today to all but confirm she is leaving the daytime show too, after news broke earlier tonight that Sherri Shepherd is parting ways with The View after seven years.
McCarthy did not specifically say she’s leaving, but did tweet that if Shepherd goes, so does she, and that her view is “changing too.”
If Sherri goes… I go too. #sisters

My View will be changing too. As will with many hard working folks. Thanks to everyone at the show for your dedication and an amazing year.

McCarthy is the newest host at the table, having just joined The View last year. In the past year, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Joy Behar, and Barbara Walters have all parted ways with the show, and with Shepherd and McCarthy presumably out the door, that leaves just Whoopi Goldberg at the desk until ABC announces new co-hosts.
Update- 10:44 p.m.: ABC said in a statement late today that they are taking The View in an “exciting new direction” and they “made decisions to evolve the show creatively.”
