Jon Stewart Invites Glenn Beck To “Drop A Load On” The Daily Show
This morning on The Today Show, Glenn Beck defended himself against accusations of violent rhetoric by saying he didn’t regret any remarks he intended to be jokes, and told host Meredith Vieira that if he was getting his feet held to the fire, writers for The Simpsons, as well as Jon Stewart, should be held to the same standards.
Looking back, of course Stewart was going to respond to that, and on tonight’s Daily Show, he did. In fact, as he did last night with Sarah Palin, he urged Beck to cut out the middleman, and appear on The Daily Show so he could ask Stewart himself. Stewart even sweetened the pot by offering Beck something he could use on his show in return for a guest appearance…but in another nod to last night’s show, his valiant effort kept getting ruined by obscene chyrons.
