International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn appeared in a New York criminal court Monday, where a judge ordered him held without bail at least until his next court hearing on charges he sexually assaulted a chamber maid at a Manhattan hotel.

The Wall Street Journal reports “Mr. Strauss-Kahn, 62 years old, appeared briefly, sitting in a holding pen where defendants wait to be called for arraignment but was then removed. It was unclear why he was taken away.”

He has been charged with attempted rape, criminal sexual assault and unlawful imprisonment of a cleaning woman who had entered his suite at the Sofitel Hotel in Midtown Manhattan Saturday afternoon. His lawyers said Sunday he would enter a not guilty plea.

CNBC reports the IMF will hold an executive board meeting as soon as charges are filed, but that Strauss-Kahn does not have to “resign or step aside.”

Maybe some of those friendly fellows down at the Tombs could help Jacques Strap reenact just what happened in that hotel room.

Heh, the most senior member of the Socialist Party in France, staying at a $3,000 a night hotel and flying first class for free.

Those socialists know how to live pretty well on other peoples money.

Paid for by the American taxpayer

That makes at least two Huffington Post bloggers (David Epstein and Dominique Strauss-Kahn) arrested for sex crimes and if you throw in Huffington Post’s defense of a famous child molesting movie director Polanski, a pattern emerges.

This case reeks of a set-up.

Anyone know that this guy is a Socialist. If this is true, than this isn’t good for the IMF, France, and Socialists, which all have had a bad reputation for a while. And bad for HuffPo, since he’s a blogger there.

Of course. The only rich people in a Socialist/Communist society are the ones running it. Like at the Soviet Union. Over 99% of the people were dirt poor, and the other 1% were the rich bureaucrats. Same thing with Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela. He’s rich, his people are poor.

Sounds like he was setup. Could have been Sarkozy. Sounds like he was a hound dog but they can be setup
    too.

Funny how a socialist can live in at $3000 a night hotel suite and have all the luxuries he had. Many of these leftoids are extremely hypocritical. The only thing surprising is that he didnt have his own plane.

On another note never trust a guy with a hyphenated name.
