Kellyanne Conway: Team Clinton Needs to Stop Throwing Out ‘Incendiary Rhetoric’

conwayLast week Donald Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway got into a heated back-and-forth with Hillary Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri over whether, as Palmieri argued, the Trump camp provided a platform for white supremacists.

Palmieri responded with a Washington Post op-ed yesterday saying that Team Trump needs to do some “introspection” about why they attracted those kinds of people.

Conway responded in an interview with Chris Matthews tonight, and she called it “insulting” and false that they would not only throw these attacks around, but that they would use it to avoid addressing the real reasons their side lost.

“All I heard,” she said, “was ‘We’re not Donald Trump.’ That’s not a message, that’s a screed.”

Conway twice mentioned that she’s received death threats and had this to say about the rhetoric from the other side:

“This needs to stop, Chris, this incendiary rhetoric of people who can’t just admit that they lost. It has to stop because it’s causing a lot of angst.”

She insisted that Trump has denounced the support of white supremacists and people just won’t listen.
