Larry King To Gov. Paterson: Does Being Blind Make It Harder To Read Headlines?

video

Embattled New York Governor David Paterson was on Larry King Live tonight, and was faced with perhaps the most awkward question to date. Host Larry King asked how the Governor’s blindness has impacted his story. “The fact that you’ve been, not a pun intended, blind to this. In other words, people have to read the headlines to you, right?” Yup. He really did ask that.

Why is Larry King still on television?

    TIME TO RETIRE Larry!!!

Larry has been saying a lot of things like this lately, case in point, the Jenny Sanford interview this week.

    Larry,
As someone slowly going blind, you might be surprised that it also makes it hard to drive, find your shoes, read really small print, read without a lot of light and find CNN on cable. I was lying about the CNN part, I didn’t even bother with that when I had good vision.

    Ugh.

CNN keeps him there because he apparently gets them their highest ratings of the night. They must not realize is that having Larry King as your “signature” program means your Prime Time audience is largely made up of… Larry King viewers.

I’d rater watch frickin’ Begala. Anybody…

I’m so over Summit trying to drag these movies out and trying to make it seem like it is the Lord of the Ring or the Harry Potter series. Breaking Dawn was the weakest of all the books then it got plain dumb with the vampire c-section and babies being born with a full set of teeth. I’ll hold on to the books I did at least enjoy them. but the movies so far have been very disappointing. I disagree Taylor (Jacob) is not the one that needs to be recast. But, it is too late now—-any recasting will totally flub the movies up even more.

??? Uh…. yes, Larry King is just like a vampire, but I don’t think he’s quite up to playing Jacob in the next Twilight movie. Thanks for sharing.

Groping women was an honest mistake. He thought he was reading.

@kimm: Usually the bot which posts the spam is close enough to on-topic that it could be theorized that there may be a real person actually commenting, but yeah, last night’s was clearly off.

Vampires are more interesting to me then Larry King (who may be a vampire, given how old he is). Regarding the Twilight series, certainly not great literature or movies, but I don’t mind, they were entertaining enough. And besides, I like my vampires less bloody.

For me, nothing will ever match “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” or “Angel”.

Actually Larry reminds me of Gary Oldman in Coppola’s Dracula.

OK – So maybe Larry does remind people of Bela Lugosi, but that still doesn’t explain the comment to Frances’ “Daily Beast” pointer…

(Larry: Big fan. Growing-up, I’d stay up half the night to listen to your radio show, but I have to admit that I haven’t seen more than clips from your tv show in at least a decade and whenever I read your name, I first flash on the promos from that Miami talk station, who used to constantly brag that they fired Larry King)

  • silkworm

That fact that your old and past stupid, is that why you would ask such a question.
Leave, Larry, your just embarrassing yourself and CNN.

  • pyrope

I have never respected Larry King since early in his radio career he would shake down restaurant owners threatening to give them a bad review if they didn’t pad his wallet. He has been a huckster and hustler all his life up ’til now. Now, he’s just a has been.
