Shortly after the results of an independent autopsy conducted by Michael Brown‘s family, the late 18-year-old’s mother and the family’s lawyer appeared on ABC to discuss the current developments in the fraught investigation surrounding his death.
When asked how peace and order could be restored to Ferguson, Mo., McSpadden replied simply: “With justice.”
“Being fair,” she clarified. “Arresting this man and making him accountable for his actions; that’s justice,” Lesley McSpadden told Robin Roberts. (Officer Darren Wilson, the man who shot Brown at least six times, has not been charged with the teenager’s death.)
