MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell Closes To Within 3,000 Viewers Of Fox’s Van Susteren

 

Cable news ratings, December 7, 2010:

•It was a rare night Tuesday as Greta Van Susteren, Anderson Cooper and Lawrence O’Donnell all battled in an unusually tight ten o’clock race. Usually timeslot winner Van Susteren won the night with 369,000 viewers 25-54, but MSNBC’s O’Donnell was just 3000 viewers behind. Cooper came in third with 330,000.

•On MSNBC, Rachel Maddow‘s dissection of President Obama‘s tax cut deal hit a chord with viewers, delivering a strong audience of 427,000 viewers 25-54 and easily outperforming all other MSNBC shows. Sean Hannity, however, won the 9 o’clock hour with 625,000.
