I have watched off an on most of the 3 yrs.
you was talking that Casey would probably walk free after Thursday for times served, but she was picked up for theft and stoling checks,ect. So my question is that wont most or all of her time go toward that before it goes toward this case?

Nancy Grace is a pathetic excuse for a human being. While, I believe Casey is guilty, the extent to which Grace went after “Tot Mom” is disgusting.

It’s disturbing that we all feel we know that she was guilty. I wonder how much of it is a thirst for blood disguised as good intention and how much of it is a result of critical thinking. The lawyers are the ones with the tools to prove or disprove her guiltiness, not us. It reminds me of a witch-hunt where everyone is convinced the woman is a witch and wants her dead, regardless of what the lawyers say about it (The Crucible?).

Justice is good, but none of us know if it was had today.

Nancy also scolded her on air coworker because he dared to claim that the nuclear output wouldn’t reach America in any significant way and when he told her empirically why it won’t she never apologized and still talked down to him about the issue.

Now? She’s stoking flames of vigilantism on air over and over and has this woman convicted of a crime that, as a jury found, was not conclusively carried out by her. These women crying over it were led to believe Caylee was their child, they don’t care about the thousands of other little girls kidnapped and killed since this trial began, they only care for Caylee, the one the media made them believe was their own little daughter. This is a sickness.

The prosecution’s case was circumstantial. By the time the body was found, the cause of death could not be determined. I guess the jury felt the story of Casey drowning was about as plausible as the prosecution’s story.

Can’t lay this one off on the prosecution. I didn’t think their courtroom duo was very dynamic, but they put on enough evidence to convict. Sometimes the judge gets it wrong. Sometimes the jury. Sometimes the court of appeals. And to hear people talk of the Citizens United decision, a lot of people think the supreme court doesn’t always get it right. I have never been a big believer in juries. There are hundreds of horror stories like this one.

I didn’t follow this trial cuz i’m an 18-49 male, and HLN/NancyGrace is not geared towards me.

I believe there is something wrong with HLN viewers, who think that “keeping the memory of victims alive” is what they are doing when they watch Nancy Grace and Valez-Mitchell exploit tragedy for their own ends, all the while acting as judge/jury/executioner calling people murderers who haven’t been found guilty.

And what is with the dramatic music played in the background on HLN? Talk about a bizarro world news channel.

Well, I just found out about this case by having a friend talk about this the other night. I have been too busy to pay attention to such a simple things that affect the simple minded people of America. I am more concerned about the sad ability that Congress is set to not raise the debt ceiling and thus cause world economic chaos. I am more concerned about the facts that many states talk a big game about education and yet these same folks are making draconian cuts in educating the young of The Republic.

Yet, people in The Republic cannot talk about issues that are more important in their daily lives and will effect their life in the future. As one commentator said on this site this is dangerous territory. I have never been a fan of convicting someone before their day in Court. This is what Lead defense attorney bias called a “talking head.” As a former prosecutor she should know not to inflame the passions of people with bias. Now I don’t pretend to pass judement with guilt or innocence, however I do not believe anyone needs to make up minds by innuendo, opinion, or just harping day in and day out how guilty a person is. We have legal system not a opinion system. I did not hear all the facts and I’m not a Guru however if I was ever to be held accountable the last thing I need is to be before my trial started judged by the court of Nancy Grace’s opinion. Something must be done to prevent Nancy Grace from attempting to score ratings touchdown’s on someone else’s game especially when it could present a death verdict. She has proven herself the most biased unfair and un-objective broadcast news commentator I have ever witnessed. If you disagree with her she threatens to cut you’re mike off! Unfortunately, she has focused on her ratings which I would hope are in the future non-existent.

For the most part we are all entitled to our opinions. But for someone of the legal profession to be paid by an entity trying to better inform the public of our legal system and legal issues she is a farce. The concept of out legal rights of “innocent until proven guilty” has been raped disgraced time and time again by Nancy Grace. She has been wrong on so many occasions yet tried people and groups over an over again long before their day in court. In the closing argument, the Prosecuter posed the question….”Who benefited most from the death of Caylee?

Unquestionably it was Nancy Grace……it provided her with a 3 year soap box…..without which her only option would have been to be out selling soap. Based upon her logic….that certainly means she could have easily been placed on trial. The missing fingerprints, DNA, etc, to prove this beyond a reasonable doubt could have just as easily been Nancy’s.

The most profound clue that I believe Casey knew what happened to her child is that she waited a month to come forward, If Casey feared talking to the police because she was warned not to then as a mother she would have found a way without anyone knowing she had spoken to them. Now that Casey has been found ‘innocent’ by the jury__will she work diligently to find Caylee’s murderer like Beth Holloway did for her daughter Natalee? If she doesn’t then her conscience will speak for itself. No mother gives up on finding who harmed her child.. Casey’s actions. once freed. will speak volumes. Nancy Grace is disgusting. And, frankly, so are most of the hosts on HLN. The few minutes of coverage I could stomach from them was so tabloid-y in nature – it really was embarrassing to watch. The total and complete overuse of the words “bombshell”, “shocking”, “unbelievable”, “amazing”, blah, blah, blah. And they all took their cue from the screaming, nasty Grace. Shame on you HLN and shame on Time Warner for going down the tabloid path.

There’s no joy at Nancy Grace’s address in Mudville today – the prosecution struck out. Prosecution’s case was weak, disjointed, largely illogical, They provided their own equation and conclusion, kind of like claiming 2+2 = 14. There’s one Florida prosecutor’s office that will be closing soon, its employees looking for work in other fields.

Should have charged her with involuntary or voluntary manslaughter. The murder charge was a huge miscalculation. There was no proof of murder, only guesses and suppositions by the DA’s office.

Robert, all of them focus on their ratings. Let’s face it, there are a lot of hang em high people in America (and the world) who want the raw meat, so someone throws it to them. They aren’t all on the right either. I have argued many times with left side people who want Amanda Knox to do life in prison for nothing. The people who lap up Nancy Grace’s words would convict her anyway so it doesn’t matter.

I’d been uncomfortable with the Casey piling on by commentators, with one of the Fox anchors seeming to take the prosecution side on every issue and having little patience for those saying ‘wait a minute, the defense is …’. For some it hasn’t mattered what the defense said, Casey was guilty from the start. If someone helped so what? Convict her anyways because there’s no reason to believe any of her lies.

I happen to know a sociopath and while I don’t believe she’s capable of harming a child I know very well she’s had no hesitance to hurt people she otherwise cares for ( friends/family), she’s done so countless times in the 20yrs I’ve known her. Just because Casey is a sociopath and circumstances make everyone believe she killed Caley it doesn’t mean the state proved she killed Caley. I’m surprised she wasn’t convicted of manslaughter, but the jury had to review certain specifics and judge certain charges, they couldn’t just say she’s a flake and obviously involved so let’s say guilty and let God figure out the truth. That’s not the way our system works, thankfully.

Never mind that, as a prosecutor, she was TWICE cited for misconduct by the Georgia Supreme Court for doing exactly what she does on TV: she demonstrates her disregard of the notions of due process and fairness. TWICE. Like, you figured after they had to call mistrial the first time she would have learned her lesson. But no. This isn’t something to be proud of, it means she SUCKED AT HER JOB.

On TV, there’s been the Elizabeth Smart case (look up Richard Ricci, her target at the time who turned out to be innocent), there was the Duke Lacrosse case (innocent), there was Melinda Duckett case, which – while not proven ‘innocent’, Grace’s behavior forced CNN to pay out money in a settlement after the girl killed herself after being subjected to Grace’s insane questioning. Again, SHE SUCKS AT HER JOB.

I think this more than proves that Nancy Grace is a terrible excuse for a lawyer, a TV personality, and most certainly, as a human being.

By Casey’s own story, according to her lawyer’s opening, they argue that Caylee drowned. Thus, her own story is that her daughter drowned, she didn’t call 9-11 to save her life. Then, she threw her body out in a garbage bag (you know, like garbage). Don’t forget taping her face with duct tape. Nancy’s words are the words of many of us.

Casey is more a psychopath than a murderer. She belongs in a mental hospital. The state did not prove it beyond a reasonable doubt, but the woman has obvious issues. Nuts. In the end, karma will prevail. THE GREAT EQUALIZER. Always.

I am really surprised the MEDIA didn’t get this girl hung.. Although she had to be guilty in something, fortunately our system still works and you must have proof “without doubt” on guilty. It’s obvious to me that the state did not present evidence against Ms. Anthony. I only graduated from High School and I know that in America you are innocent until proven guilty. I would think that the N.G. conclusions on the major charges is due to the prosecution not proving it’s case (especially on Murder in 1st) beyond a reasonable doubt…that is where there prosecution’s fault lies,
If they had gone for a different charge w/ a lesser sentence that did not need a unanimous vote for conviction, they might have been able to pen her up for a couple dozen years but they went for the death penalty.
I got the impression that they were going for the ‘No one else could have had the opportunity’ theme and there were number of deep, confusing holes to fill for the Jury to seal that scenario up undoubtedly.
It was a gamble to begin with.

Honestly I do not watch Nancy Grace and have no opinion of her one way or another. My concern is that posters are commenting that Casey Anthony was “found innocent”, that is not what a verdict of “not guilty” means. The verdict of “not guilty” simply means that the jury felt the state did not prove its case on the preponderance of the evidence. The jury didn’t believe there was enough evidence to convict her of the charges presented.

Now, as to whether the rest of us agree with the jury is another matter entirely. I find in hard to believe that someone would think it reasonable to believe that someone would cover up an accident to make it look like murder and to abuse the body of her deceased child in such a way. A child drowning in a pool is sadly not a rare occurrence in Florida. Also I find it difficult to think that someone who has been proven to lie repeatedly to cover herself, would be believed in regards to such outlandish stories such as this one.

Yep, she said that they made their mind up before the trial and twiddled their thumbs during the trial. It is absolutely unreal how immature she is. Nancy Grace made the most reprehensible statements I’ve ever hear from anyone in the media, and a so called “television journalist” for that matter. How can a media figure covering the case have the audacity to say “the killer goes free” and “I absolutely cannot believe that Caylee’s death has gone unavenged.” The Jury gave a “responsible” verdict based on the facts presented before them and after 11 hours of deliberation. Cases are not judged according personal emotions. Proclaiming Casey Anthony as the killer after a fair trial says she is not, is quite irresponsible for someone covering the case on television.

Everyone is entitled to a fair trial and due process was followed in this case whereby the defendant was fount not guilty of murder. Nancy Grace has acted like an irresponsible television personality with such statements. Personal sentiments is not a substitute for concrete evidence, especially when a wrong judgement could lead the defendant to the lethal injection or gas chamber. If judgements are administered according to the former rather than the latter, I can image how many people will be sent to death chambers every month for murders they did not actually commit, irrespective of their personal character or history of lesser crimes.

Grace is no journalist. She is however a mud slinging, pompus and self absorbed bitch. A couple of law suits against her and HLN would be a start to shutting her up. “Tot mom” made Nancy Grace and gave HLN ratings like no other. She owes “Tot mom” a great piece of her fame and fortune. The media is so fickle. Generally they want an interview and a murderer could probably go on their shows and get defended. I heard so much of Casey Anthony mixed up, had some issue..blah blah…u would think the defense attorney would be concerned for her safety and her well being to locked up where she could be monitored, thats if life was so bad..yeah right…like the story of accidental drowning was not mentioned until 2 years later when she could of faced the death penalty..which her lawyers knew was a crock story.I truly hope the decisions that took place from the Jurors they can sleep well at night knowing she possibly could be quilty BUT let her walk, if anything she could of been charged of child indangerment, felony on a corpse..what kind of message was sent out here? Most of u on here would not know the truth if it hit you smack in the face. Nancy Grace does what she does for ratings sake and she sure got that. If I wanted to hear someone scream the whole time I was watching her show, I would just go to work where I work with someone who does just that everytime she opens her mouth. And I am sorry, but I don’t believe that Casey was smart enough to have done any of the things to do with beautiful childs death. It would have taken an experienced person to have done all of this without leaving any DNA. And we know who would have the experience; her father, the ex-cop. He would know just how to cover it all up. I definately believe that Casey was horribly wrong in not notifying authorites when the child was missing, but what Grandparents wouldn’t have questioned it or rather DEMANDED to know where this child was within a few days not 31 days. They certainly know more than they are letting on. And who are all of you to say that there was NOT abuse done by the hands of the men in her life. It certainly wouldn’t have been the first time that it was the case. And this is one of the most horrible secrets in life that is most often covered up. and never talked about until backed into a corner. I too am disgusted with the lack of objective media coverage in the Casey Anthony. And the worst offender of all is HLN and its reporters, leading that pack of wolves is of course Nancy Grace. The reporting has been bias and down right hateful. Nancy Grace and the rest seem to be promoting vigilany justice, this station will be responsible if a tragedy occurs. From the onset of this case Nancy Grace, tried and convicted Casey Anthony all in the name of justice for Caylee. This wasn’t for Caylee it was about ratings plain and simple. This station and its reporters, Nancy G., Jane V-M., Vinnie P., Dr. Drew and Mike Brooks calls themselves reporters, professionals and they don’t even come close. They don’t give equal time to anyone who dares to challenge them, they are rude and cut people off and the list goes on. Get rid of them and give the job to true professionals able to report the facts and not the poison. Sunny Hostin comes to mind in fact, her ability to report the facts and even challenge things has I see cut down her air time. HLN AND ITS REPORTERS ARE SHAMELESS AND NEED TO DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE. Yes, this is not the firest miscarriage of justice. The main problem is understanding reasonable doubt. There is no doubt in my mind that Casey Anthony killed this baby. It makes me very sad to think “How many times Caylee spent the night in the trunk of that car”, while Casey was screwing around. However, Nancy Grace’s ranting & raving for three years is the major contributing factor to Casey being freed.

Everybody is worried about Casey Anthony making money off an interview. Look how much money the Media made off Caylee Anthony’s death. I am seriously considering that people in the Media may have found out that there were a volume of pictures and videos of this child and someone connected to the Media in some way had the child killed: they saw how much money the rag mags made on JonBenet. People seem to be worth more now dead than alive. Michael Jackson’s own sister thinks his death was part of a conspiracy. If Caylee Anthony’s death was a mob hit it would certainly answer some lingering questions that some of us still have. In fact, it would answer all the questions. Casey was fired from Universal, but Cindy said in one interview with Greta from FOX that Casey worked as a photographer who was an independant contractor with the company.

Her name was Melinda Duckett and she committed suicide right after being on the Nancy Grace Show. So, see having Casey  Anthony be a killer was in the best interest of the media because she lived in Florida too and also had a toddler who was missing. Had a killer or kidnapper been caught in the Duckett case it would have been bad news for the Media. Or if a man had killed Caylee then they would have said he killed Trenton Duckett.

Melinda isn’t the only Nancy Grace victim to die. In another case an innocent man was actually arrested and jailed as Nancy Grace was howling for blood. The man died in custody then PD arrested the real perp.

I don’t think i could agree with you anymore than i already do. I used to watch Nancy Grace’s show but after watching the case from day 1 as well, i can’t seem to want to watch he in anything. Thats probably why Swift Justice got someone else to do the show. What Nancy Grace did was make the US believe something was true based purely on circumstantial evidence. Its wrong. About your comment that when a child dies who is close to you and everyone acts differently… it is sooo true. I really feel bad for the family because the Media basically ruined their lives. I do hope that Caylee will never be forgotten and she is at peace. But i also feel bad for Casey because IF she didn’t do anything… then the Media and Nancy just ruined her life.
