Neil Cavuto Interviews Florida Urologist With Anti-Obama Sign

We wrote earlier about Dr. Jack Cassell, the urologist from Florida who posted a sign in the window of his practice which read “If you voted for Obama, seek urological care elsewhere.” A few hours ago, Fox News had a local radio host on to plead the good doctor’s case but, Neil Cavuto got the interview from the doctor himself.

Cavuto quickly got to what seems to be the real point here: the phrasing of the doctor’s sign and the implication that he would turn people away. The fact that the doctor wants to educate his patients about the health care bill is certainly noble whatever his opinion on it is and he does seem like a bright guy (he came to the interview prepared with notes on his specific complaints and even an opening joke which, unfortunately, didn’t go over that well), but a licensed doctor putting up a sign that implies the is going to turn people away because of their political beliefs is just wrong.

Maybe the sign should have read “I am against Obamacare. Please feel free to ask me why” or something. Then again, if he had written that, he probably wouldn’t be all over the news, now would he?

I agree “I am against Obamacare. Please feel free to ask me why” would have been better. It might not get you on TV though.

Any idea where this timeline that the doctor talked about is?

Mike, I don’t know if this is the specific timeline that doctor is referring to, but here is one I received:

Cavuto wasn’t the only one to talk to Dr. Cassell; Anderson Cooper had a longish, somewhat contentious interview with him last night that was good TV, and an interesting explanation of Cassell’s positions.
