Rex The ‘Republican-Hating’ Dog Gets New Home After Appearance on The Ed Show

video

It’s almost Christmas, so here’s a story to warm your heart this holiday weekend. Talk of dogs sniffing out Republicans returned to The Ed Show tonight, and Ed Schultz admitted he got a kick out of the media coverage of his adorable little Republican-hating dog named Rex. Schultz introduced Rex to viewers last night to the politically-astute pooch. The stunt did not go unnoticed by the blogosphere (including this very site), giving publicity to not just the dog, but the center taking care of him.

Schultz acknowledged coverage from Media Matters, Mediaite, Fox Nation, and even Glenn Beck’s own website The Blaze. However, he was quick to clarify that Rex does not “hate” Republicans, per se, he just “lets you beware.”

However, the bigger news Schultz had to share was that after giving Rex his brief moment of fame on the show last night, the center taking care of Rex received over 100 calls from people interested in adopting him. Rex will be placed in a loving home just in time to celebrate Christmas. Some cable news stunts can be cheesy and overdone, but this is just too adorable.

    Good Dog!

Most substance I’ve seen on LSDNC in years…  If this dog has an agent, Chris Hayes is going to be on Current TV by New Years Eve

  • Anonymous

    Great to hear. Great dog.

Apparently, I’ll have to inform the humane society.  This entire affair is a case of animal abuse as Leftist’s attempt to convert and/or inculcate their pets to Marxist philosophy.

Whereas Conservative pet owners expose their pets to dialectic philosophy and the great philosophes of the enlightenment, including Jefferson.

No pet should be forced to become an empty headed Liberal.

    Loved the dogs! ;-)

Isn’t there a law against the endoctrination of liberalism in the animal Kingdom? LMAO

More like, The Purveyor of immature Rhetoric.

    geez! republetards even hate dogs.

  • Anonymous

    YODA,

LOL, LOL,  Oh lord!  All the times I’ve heard how Conservative’s lack a sense of humor and how much smarter Liberal’s are, blah, blah, blah…  LOL

The truth is, you lack the intellect and the wit to come up with a comment as insightful.  You don’t even know who or what “dialectic” is.  Ouch!

(Note: What is curious, is that Liberals envision themselves as Platonic “philosopher kings.”  You must have been in the men’s room during that part of the propaganda?)

If John Stewart said something similar to this, you’d fawn all over him… LOL

Your diagnosis of liberalism is a false analogy. We don’t need a leader to tell us what to do like conservatives do. Your problem is that your getting you’re views from conservatives who are misguided in their thought processes.

  • Anonymous

Take Rex off its leash and hook it up to the overfed redhead, Ed Schultzie, the mumbling, bumbling idiot talk show impersonator on BSnbc. That wacko, Ed, should be locked up, preferably in a dog pound full of Rotweiller’s and Pit Bull’s…LOL How did Ed ever get his job? PMSnbc must have been really hard up for another idiot, having fired morons like Keith Overbluster and the Turk guy.

  • Anonymous

And 100 X’s smarter than Ed Schultz. Or for that matter, smarter than everyone on LSDnbc.

  • Anonymous

    “”Getting my views from?”

If you mean I get “my views” from people like John Locke, John Stuart Mill, Rousseau, Hobbes, Newton, Bentham, St.Thomas Aquinas Thomas Jefferson, James Madison Alexander Hamilton…

    “Cogito, ergo sum?”  LOL  (Descartes)

    YODA,  You asked for this…

You have made TWO, unsupported assertions:

    1) What “false analogy” did I make?  (I know, “false analogy” sounds scholarly, right?)
    2) You assert, without supporting evidence, where I get my views    from?   YODA:  People get their views from ME!  I support my views with reason, coupled with historical evidence.

For instance, YOU claim “‘we [Liberals] don’t need a leader.”  WHAT?  Then what was Marx, Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin and don’t forget Mao?  LOL  What kind of literature did Obama read??  Beside Saul Alinsky?  I don’t believe he ever looked at a Con-law text, as I can’t find any of writing on case law?

You are in way over your head YODA!

  • Anonymous

… Now I remember why I don’t watch television around Christmas.  That was seriously painful to watch.

  • Anonymous

You’re continually making the same false analogy. So confused you are my young person, so confused indeed. Not even in my league you are.

First, Marx, Lenin, Trosky, Stalin or Mao aren’t liberals. I recommend you looking up the word liberal in the dictionary.

Obama read all kinds of different things.  What kind of literature did Romney read?? I know he read Bush’s book Decision Points twice.  Even re-editing his own book.

I recommend reading Jefferson’s writings. He is actually somewhat liberals in his views.  Even read his tombstone.

Purveryor of nonsense. So misguided you are.

  • Anonymous

At least Fat ED didn’t end up shooting the dog.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_C6AAO4YXWNA2KQ2ORAH7QWLZAM One_Man_Army

Yoda, it seems YOU are way out of your league on this one.

First of all, Marx, Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, and Mao are ALL proven liberals.  Their very ideas are liberal.  Communism itself, which is what ALL of them believe, is an ENTIRELY liberal concept.  Historical fact for you there.

Also, NOTHING of Thomas Jefferson’s writings are liberal.  Though, a vast majority of his writings prove just how conservative he was.  You might want to learn the difference between conservative and liberal there, son, because so far, you are a horrendous insult to the character of Yoda.  You have a LOT to learn.

    “SONNY”,

Point taken, The men of history I mentioned would have been considered “liberal,” (small “l”) in their respective time.

HOWEVER, I hope you posses the requisite awareness of current events to know that “L” Liberal, as a word and meaning, has become interchangeable with Progressive, Socialist, etc.?

I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt, that I do not need to explain this to you further?

    The Purveyor of Rhetoric

  • Anonymous

    YODA,

You are a “Liberal,” with a large “L.” For instance, you are quite probably a “Democrat,” with a large “D.” Moreover, you and your political compatriots, are the progeny of Marx, Lenin, etc. They were socialist/communists. (or Bolsheviks) Furthermore, you are the political offspring of Roosevelt, LaFollette and Wilson, who were “progressives.”

YODA, your contemporary, political ideology is a direct descendant of Marx, hence, you are a “L” Liberal. Therefore in the contemporary vernacular, LIberal, Socialist, Progressive, (all capitalized) have become, virtually, interchangeable as both Marx and yourself, desire a re-distribution of wealth and the diminution of the American Constitution.

YODA, I’ve always thought you were more or less benign, and unfortunately misguided, but, I had no truck with you. Ergo, I am going to forget this silly affair, that started out life as a parody, a joke.

Don’t forget, IF, I ever get to Kalifornia (LOL) we’ve got a date to play frisbee, barefoot in the grass…

Such truly is an image of my adolescence: playing frisbee, even at night under the Park lights.

    Merry Christmas to all.

Rather disgusting that Ed used a dog as a prop for his hatred. More intolerance from the left.

  • Anonymous

No, we like dogs. We just don’t like them being used as props by leftwing douchebags like Schultz. The dog isn’t some union jerk like the people Ed usually manipulates.

    Good socialist Dog!

  • Anonymous

Of course he’s a Democrat, he doesn’t have a job, lays around he house sleeping all the time, the only time you hear him say anything is when he’s complaining he doesn’t have what he wants and lives on other people providing him food, water, shelter and all of his needs.Democrat’s don’t need a leader because they just congregate anywhere where’s something’s being given away free. Nobody needs a leader just to do whatever they want without consideration of what’s best for society or the country.

Posting this greeting to fellow conservative and trying to make the liberals happy. Oops they’re never happy unless they’re insulting anyone showing common sense. we no longer have Christmas trees, but instead we have holiday trees.
So I met with my lawyer yesterday, and on advice I wish to say the following :
Please accept with no obligation , implied or implicit , my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday practiced with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious / secular persuasions and / or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all .
I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2012 , but not without due respect for the calendar of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great ( not to imply that Canada is necessarily greater than any other country ) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishes .
By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. :
This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/ him or others and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. The wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher .

Nasty little mind we have there, huh? And you acquired this tidbit of wisdom, how? And justify this statement with what? Hate for an idealogy you don’t support?

Quite tolerant of others views aren’t we.
If you have these thought processes, may I suggest you move to say….Russia,Iran,N. Korea…
Then see if this countries Constitutional protections of free speech are allowed there.

This all you got? Small mind to match that small pecker, huh?

I agree that hate IS a liberal trait.
Congratulations on breeding your dogs to do as YOU do.

    The filthy, hateful, illiterate bums?

he is more like Agent of hate isn’t he.

  • barbara clemen

Nasty bit of hatred there…they’re so mean it comes out their pores in waves.
    Must suck to be them.

Ok….I just have to say it.  We lost our brother, Rex, to cancer in 2005 and he was a die hard Democrat if there ever was one.  He could debate with the best of them, and always had his facts straight, wasn’t afraid to speak his mind.  For those of you who believe in reincarnation, Rex the Beagle is the reincarnation of my dear brother.  There’s not a doubt in my mind.  So, thank you Ed, and may Rex have a loving forever home, and live a nice long ‘outspoken’ life.

  • Ryan Frederick

and here i was thinking the left was all for women rights to. i geuss the rights are only for them.

Conservatives also sodomize their dogs like Jefferson sodomized his slaves.

Sorry to hear about your brother.  One thing about democrats – the usually do have all tlhe REAL FACTS before them and aren’t unwilling to compromise or admit when they are wrong.  That is a problem the republicans, and particularly the Tea Party has. A Tea Party Republican would do away with most of the government agencies, but they are the first ones who would have a problem with their baby dying from tainted Chinese baby formula or complain about the chug holes in the highway.  Go figure.

  • Anonymous

You may have a “Holiday” tree, but as a democrat, I choose to have a “Christmas Tree”.  Merry Christmas to you unless of course you are an atheist, or celebrate Hanukkah or another religion.

  • Anonymous

Obviously you ignore the hatred spilled by the so-called Christians on these boards.

  • Anonymous

Yep, and that is the reason why 75% of the richest 400 people in the US are democrats.  Just figures they must be lazy and depending on others.

  • Anonymous

Ed used the dog because the republicans made such a big fricking deal about the president taking his dog to Petsmart.

  • Anonymous

Have you ever noticed that it is the democrats on television who are giving exposure to charity organizations such animal shelters, the Red Cross, desks for kids in Africa schools, and various other charities in the US but you never see the talking heads on FOX supporting any such organizations?,

  • Ryan Frederick

be we are the ones that hate Barbara alest that is what they want the world to think.

  • barbara clemen

I think it was their re-education at the hands of the leftest professors with an agenda, and it’s not in Americas interests, let me tell you.

  • barbara clemen

They’re just projecting their own ugliness at us. They can’t handle the truth.

  • Anonymous

I agree that its stupid to talk about the president and his dog, as if he shouldn’t be allowed to take his dog to PetSmart like every other person. Instead of just calling them stupid for it, Ed Schultz decides to bring out a dog as a prop to bash Republicans because he is full of hate and intolerance. If it wasn’t this dog, it’d be something else. I just don’t agree with making this dog a symbol of Ed’s campaign to be a complete douchebag to anyone that doesn’t think just the way he does.

  • Anonymous

Why do the democrats need to be on television when it comes to charitable acts? Why not just do them and not seek attention for them? Sounds like they are just doing it for fame and attention. Rather pathetic.

  • Anonymous

Sorry, but im not. Im not on medicare, the government doesn’t provide me with food stamps or any other type of assistance, and I don’t expect to get any of my social security money back since Obama is busy pissing it away. Im middle class, I purchased my house on my own, I paid for my college myself by working full time, I don’t get any assistance that I damn sure don’t want, and im self-reliant instead of being a leech like socialist democrats are. I don’t want or need government assistance, and I would refuse it if it was given to me. I want the government to get out of my life and stop trying to buy me shit I don’t need. Anything I want, ill go get myself thru my hard work, brains, and ingenuity. I won’t stand around and bitch at people in Zuccotti Park to hand it to me for nothing.

  • Anonymous

No, I did not notice that.  Regardless, charity and compassion are not a contest.

However, I am reasonably sure that the “talking heads” on Fox, as you refer to them, are very charitable.

(That is understatement, just in case you did not discern such)

One of my best friends is Daisy, my gentle and loving lemon beagle.

I can say, without hesitation, without malice and without ill-will, that to turn a beagle into a hateful cur, like Ed Schultze`s dog, takes special talent which can be only attained by training by union thugs.
