Robert Gibbs Happy That Republicans Now Understand “A Responsibility Of Government”

This morning on CNN‘s State of The Union, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs told Candy Crowley that he was pleased with the tax compromise, especially since he admits if the administration waited until January, they probably would “not gotten half of what we got.” Also Gibbs was grateful that Republicans realized they can no longer be the party of simply saying no, concluding:

There was a responsibility of government that I think the Republicans got in the November elections and they began to understand that responsibility a little bit more in this lame-duck than they had in the previous, quite frankly, 18 or so months.

Gibbs discussed his hope that 2011 will be a year to concentrate on what is best for the American people, instead of either party worrying about future political gains. During the interview, Gibbs also revealed he did not expect a major shake-up to the President’s cabinet and that he would be surprised if Obama did not seek a second term in 2012.

I’m glad The Democrats have learned a lesson of Government from the Republicans.They could have governed for a couple of years but really didn’t.Now maybe with a split Congress stuff will actually get done that actually needs to get done.

No more wasting over a year on massive spending bills disguised as health care reform that put us in massive debt.Time to focus on what matters,jobs jobs jobs,and not the preservation of congressional jobs,the creation of jobs for real Americans.

The government was designed to act as a house of compromise not as a house of one sided my way or the highway government.We as american citizens must remind our elected representatives of this at every election.The message must be hammered into their heads or they won’t get it.

The government can’t create jobs just government jobs and the government is already too darn big it’s a bloated sow that robs Americans wealth instigates class warfare appealing to the lowest common denominator of people envy and covetousness, they squander it on unconstitutional projects creating a permanent dependency class and vote buying. Hold on, American public education i.e. government schools have been going in the crapper long before “no Child left behind.” It’s been a steady decline since the early 1960s, education excellence is the exception and the rule has become “socialization.”
Illiteracy rate is up, it is not uncommon for high school graduates to be unable to cope with entry-level employment not just academically but emotionally, the philosophy of never allowing them to fail in an over emphasis on unearned self-esteem has done its damage.

Beginning a teachers union have a monopoly stranglehold that has to be broken, privatize education and get rid of this philosophy of “a right to an education” and replace it with a duty and responsibility to learn, thank God for homeschoolers, most of them get it!
