Romney: Talk of Me Running in 2016 ‘Silly’

On Meet the Press Sunday morning, former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney assured host David Gregory that he was not future GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

“I’m not running for president,” Romney said, laughing. “I’ve said that so many times…I’m convinced that the field of Republican candidates that I’m seeing is in a lot better position to do [communicate the GOP’s message] than I am.”

Gregory asked if Romney would consider it if he were drafted by the GOP.

“Talk of draft is kind of silly,” Romney said.
