Spicer on Calls for Russia Special Prosecutor: ‘A Special Prosecutor for What?’

During today’s press briefing, ABC’s Jon Karl asked Sean Spicer about whether he thinks — as at least one Republican congressman does — that there should be a special prosecutor on Russia.

Spicer responded, “A special prosecutor for what?”

He said that for months now a lot has come out of the woodwork and that “nothing’s come of it.”

Spicer insisted that this has been “investigated up and down” and asked, “If there’s nothing to further investigate, what are you asking people to investigate?”

“How many people have to say that there’s nothing there,” he concluded, “before you realize there’s nothing there?”
