Thursday Ratings: Ed Schultz Beats CNN And Rest Of MSNBC In Total Viewers
Thursday evening, during the 8 p.m. hour, MSNBC’s The Ed Show beat the rest of MSNBC in total viewers, and beat all of CNN primetime in total viewers and the demo.
Schultz racked up 824k in total viewers, nearly doubling his CNN time-slot competitor Anderson Cooper and all other CNN programs. In the ages 25-54 demo, Schultz’s 165k beat out Cooper’s 149k.
On MSNBC, Schultz’s 824k in total viewers was the highest on the network, but in the age 25-54 demo, his 165k placed third behind Rachel Maddow‘s 203k and Lawrence O’Donnell‘s 200k.
Once again, the 2012 Summer Olympics have resulted in decreased viewership for all cable news programming.
