Tracy Morgan Makes Emotional (and Funny!) Surprise Appearance at Emmys

Tracy Morgan got a huge ovation when he took the stage as a surprise to present the final award of the night on the Emmy Awards. But most importantly, he actually managed to get some laughs, something that has been a challenge in his handful of public appearances since his near-deadly car accident last year.

“It has been a long road back. I suffered a traumatic brain injury that put me in a coma for eight days. And when I finally regained consciousness, I was just ecstatic to learn I wasn’t the one who messed up,” Morgan said to laughs from the crowd. “Only recently I’ve started to feel like myself again, which means a whole lot of y’all women gonna get pregnant at the after-party.”

Morgan will get his big chance to be himself again when he hosts Saturday Night Live on October 17.
