Trevor Noah took on some of the San Bernardino political back-and-forth tonight and zeroed in on Ted Cruz in particular for a planned event after the shooting.

After noticing how much wearier President Obama has looked every time he has to address another shooting, Noah brought up how Cruz sent out invitations to supporters for a 2nd Amendment event scheduled for Friday.

Noah said, “Seems like something you’d only do if you’re an asshole.”

He proceeded to go over Cruz’s rise in the polls and how he does have the ability to “unite both parties… in their hatred of him”
