Video: Amy Goodman arrested at the RNC
This is a pretty shocking video, particularly knowing that Goodman was not part of some angry mob but approaching police as a clearly-credentialed member of the press with a nonviolent, calm request to speak to a supervisor. She is just grabbed, by a guy with a club, cuffed and led away. Chilling.

Note the knowing laughter when she starts describing the questions about the Olympics. Goodman: “Do you all just constantly talk about the Olympics?!?” Funny. This is a more lighthearted version, with a few jokes. Still, she calls it “a very serious violation” and says she is “stunned” and “troubled” by it. The video was shot on the next stop on her lecture tour, in Victoria B.C.
