New York Times Security Guard, Who Told Biden ‘I Love You’ in Viral Elevator Video, Set to Nominate Him for President

A New York Times security guard, who volunteered her support for candidate Joe Biden during a 2019 visit to the newspaper’s editorial board, will officially nominate the former vice president to be the Democratic Party’s 2020 pick.
The 31-year-old guard who has chosen to only reveal her first and middle names, Jacquelyn Brittany, shared a brief elevator ride with Biden back in December, but she made a strong impression when she told him “I love you” and said he was her favorite among the crowded Democratic field. The encounter was captured by a camera crew trailing Biden and was later tweeted out by Biden, who said he was “honored” to have her endorsement.

According to the Washington Post, the Democratic Party will give her honor of introducing Biden’s into the convention as the party’s nomination for president. Brittany told the Post that Biden’s demeanor during his visit confirmed her political tendencies.
“Once he came in, he was just genuinely, genuinely nice to people. We don’t get that from everybody,” she told the paper. “I kept thinking to myself, this was a person I want to lead the country.” Though she was silent for most of their brief time together, she mustered up the courage to confess Biden’s appeal to her. The two then chatted and Biden then suggested the pair take a selfie together.
Brittany told the Post that being given such a prestigious honor at the convention is “overwhelming” but she also made clear she is firmly against Trump.
“I keep telling them, ‘If he comes, I’m taking off that day.'”
