CNN’s Abby Phillip Fires Back at ‘Nasty Social Media Troll’ Keith Olbermann After He Called Her an ‘Absolute Disaster’

Keith Olbermann came for CNN’s Abby Phillip, and she responded in a big way.
During Tuesday night’s analysis of the New Hampshire primary, Phillip echoed the message from the GOP primary’s runner-up — former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley — who has been selling herself as a younger alternative to both President Joe Biden and GOP frontrunner former President Donald Trump. Phillip said: “[M]aybe the first person, the first party to let go of their 80-year-olds, might be the victor, but who’s gonna be the one to move first?” Later she added: “Nobody wants Trump, nobody wants Biden.”
Former MSNBC anchor Olbermann apparently felt Phillip’s analysis was egregious enough to call her entire run on CNN a “disaster.” He wrote on Twitter/X:
CNN has to address the reality that @abbydphillip has been an absolute disaster and that this foot-in-mouth editorial is the first thing she’s gotten noticed for since her show debuted
Phillip responded:
Or, you can come to terms with the reality of your irrelevance and stop being a nasty social media troll. But that’s entirely up to you. https://t.co/Of9VPrH6Cr

According to a press release from CNN issued in November: “CNN’s newly launched 10p Newsnight with Abby Phillip and 11p Laura Coates Live were the only cable news programs in their hours to grow year-over-year among adults 25-54 vs. November 2022, which was elevated by the US Midterm Elections. At 10p, Newsnight delivered 123k vs. CNN Tonight‘s 120k in Nov-22.”
