Kanye West Releases Song Declaring Defending Trump Support: ‘I Never Ever Stopped Fightin’ for the People’
Kanye West just released a new song defending his recent outspoken and controversial support for President Donald Trump.
The single “Ye vs. the People” debuted on Friday on Power 106 in Los Angeles and features a debate with rapper T.I.
“I know Obama was heaven-sent, but ever since Trump won, it proved that I could be President,” West kicks off the exchange, prompting T.I. to chime in to ask him about the cost of Trump presidency.
West rhymes at another point, “Make America great again had a negative perception/I took it wore it rocked it and gave it a new direction/I added caring empathy love and affection/And y’all simply questioning my methods.”
Then defending his stance, he adds: “Bruh, I never ever stopped fightin’ for the people. Actually wearing the hat is to show people that we’re equal.”
He also addresses his critics head-on, rapping, “One day I was like f–k it I’m going to do me. I was in the sunken place and then I found a new me.”
His lyrics rubbed some on Twitter the wrong way.
“Kanye rapped ‘All Blacks gotta be Democrats, man, we ain’t made it off the plantation.’ He truly is gonna be Stacey Dash with bars and Ben Carson with a drum machine,” author Michael Arceneaux, tweeted out.

Rapper KXNG CROOKED I wondered if West was tarnishing his reputation.
West’s most recent single comes days after he launched into a pro-Trump Tweetstorm that sparked both fierce reaction from both liberals and Republicans.
It also comes just hours after he dropped another single, “Lift Yourself.”
That single features such enlightening lyrics as “Poopy-di scoop/Scoop-diddy-whoop/Whoop-di-scoop-di-poop/Poop-di-scoopty/Scoopty-whoop.”
