Pro-Trump Singer Joy Villa Wears Anti-Abortion Dress to Grammys
The singer who experienced her 15 minutes of fame last year by hitting the red carpet in a pro-Trump outfit appears to be trying to extend her time under the spotlight, as Joy Villa arrived at the 60th Grammy Awards in an anti-abortion dress.
. @joy_villa made a statement at last year’s #Grammys with a pro-Trump dress. This year, she wore a white gown with a rainbow uterus and fetus and carried a “Choose Life” handbag. https://t.co/I9JjnzGhva pic.twitter.com/q9MkV0D60w

Villa’s get-up included a stark white dress with a fetus surrounded by a rainbow painted on it. Additionally, she carried along a white handbag with the words “CHOOSE LIFE” blasted across it — just in case anyone was still unaware of her opinion on abortion.
In a statement to Fox News — which is the network the singer has frequently appeared on — Villa said, “I’m a pro-life woman. This year I chose to make a statement on the red carpet like I always do. I’m all about life.”
Given the recent Women’s March and the rise of the #MeToo movement, Villa’s pro-life outfit might even be more controversial than the red, white, and blue “Make America Great Again” dress she touted at the last Grammys.
However, her outrageously conservative red carpet appearance might just be her way of gaining back the many fans she has recently lost on the right as her identity as a Scientologist has become more and more known. Villa was widely attacked for her religious views and even allegedly tried to convert White House official Kellyanne Conway and right-wing pundit Milo Yiannopoulos to the cult.
