Social Media Accounts Claim Influencer Known for Putting on Makeup to Troll Liberals Found Dead in Mexico Hotel Room

The social media accounts of former Bachelorette star Josh Seiter posted a message on Tuesday claiming he was found dead in a hotel room in Mexico.

Seiter appeared in the 11th season of the famed dating show nearly a decade ago. In recent years, he became known more for his inflammatory comments and actions, largely aimed at needling liberals. A large portion of his X/Twitter account, for example, includes photos of himself wearing makeup and women’s clothing. He has repeatedly claimed to be trans and has made bizarre comments about being the mother of Elon Musk’s children.

Seiter has also made tweets targeting the Muslim community, claiming to identify as a Muslim woman and donning underwear and shirts as a makeshift hijab.

On Tuesday, a statement was posted to Seiter’s account claiming he was found unresponsive in a hotel room.

“Josh was found unresponsive in his hotel room in Mexico this morning,” the statement read. “He was pronounced deceased by hospital staff a short time later. We will update the public with more details in the coming days.”

As indicated by the community note affixed to the tweet, however, the statement should be taken with a grain of salt due to the fact that something similar was posted on his accounts before. In 2023, another statement was issued purportedly revealing that Seiter had taken his own life. He later posted a video claiming his accounts had been hacked and accusing someone of “playing a cruel joke.”

At the time of writing, the statement regarding his death was the last tweet posted.
