Stormy Daniels Says She Feels ‘Partially Responsible’ For Women Trump Allegedly Assaulted Because ‘I Didn’t Shut His Ass Down’
Porn Star Stormy Daniels said in a new documentary that she thinks if she had shut then-celebrity Donald Trump down, she might have spared others from his alleged sexual misconduct.
Stormy Daniels — the stage name of the former Stephanie Clifford — is back in the news because of the imminent trial in the case that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has brought involving hush money payments to Daniels, which resulted in a several-dozen-count indictment of Trump.
Trump’s sexual misconduct is also in the news by virtue of the massive $91.6 million bond he posted to appeal the $83.3 million judgment Trump owes for defaming E. Jean Carroll while he was president — one of many women who have accused Trump of sexual abuse or harassment over the years.
On Monday, Peacock dropped the new documentary Stormy, a feature-length film that includes new interviews and footage telling the story of Daniels’s journey into history.
In one portion of the doc, Daniels reflects on her encounter with Trump, which she clarifies was consensual — but not exactly enthusiastic. Discussing the Access Hollywood tape, Daniels makes a distinction between women “letting” Trump grope them — and not stopping him from doing so.
She then muses that she could have stopped him, and feels “partially responsible” to other women for not “shutting his ass down”:
People say, you know, you can’t abuse a porn star. That is not true.
What Trump said about grabbing women by the pussy. He wasn’t wrong! Women will let you grab them by the pussy because they– especially if you’re famous. Whatever his direct quote was. He shouldn’t have said it. He should never done it. But he’s not wrong.
And I don’t know if they “let you,” but they don’t tell you not to. And that’s what happened to me.
Trump obviously openly admitted and bragged about that sort of behavior. And if somebody gets away with something, they get more brazen, they get more bold, they get more aggressive.
To this day, I blame myself. And I have not forgiven myself because I didn’t shut his ass down in that moment. So maybe make him pause before he tried it someone else. The hardest part about all of this is I feel like I am partially responsible for every woman that could have come after me.
