Danny Meyer’s Shake Shack Is Going To London

Restaurateur Danny Meyer announced today that he would soon open an outpost of the famous Shake Shack burger chain in London’s Covent Garden.

Meyer, whose Burger Kingdom extends from Manhattan throughout the East Coast, reaching far-off places like Dubai and Kuwait, said in a press release that for years since he first started serving burgers in Madison Square Park, he’d been asked to bring a Shake Shack to London.

“I’m positively in love with London’s thriving food culture,” Meyer said, according to Bloomberg News. “I adore the city and have always enjoyed the time I’ve spent there over the years.”
