Guy Fieri Trying to Shut Down Restaurant Chain
Your favorite loud, bleach blonde Food Network star attempting to shut down his restaurant chain. But, Johnny Garlic’s will not go quietly. His partner is fighting back.
Guy Fieri recently filed a petition to dissolve Johnny Garlic’s, which has seven locations in California. But on December 18, his partner Steve Gruber filed his own lawsuit against the TV star and restaurateur to try and keep it open. He’s attempting to buy out Fieri and take over the remaining shares and has filed a petition to stop the dissolution.
We all know Fieri as a television personality and the host of Diners, Drive Ins and Dives and Guy’s Grocery Games, and as the winner of the second season of Next Food Network Star in 2006, but he was in the restaurant industry long before that. The first location of Johnny Garlic’s opened a decade before we ever saw him, in 1996.
The superstar now has additional restaurants in New York and Las Vegas, and has written three books. Whether Johnny Garlic’s stays or goes, it’s safe to say we haven’t seen the last of him.
