Six Dollar Footlong Doesn’t Have The Same Ring: Last Call
We’ve got good news and bad news. We’ll give you the bad first: Your sandwiches are getting more expensive. On the bright side, vegans, lactose intolerant people, and people with rare and underdiagnosed inexplicable aversions to dairy (do not be friends with the third type) can now eat Ben & Jerry’s. Here’s what you need to know before you leave the office.
Eater
Subway is entering a new era: Jared Fogle is so over (good), and the Five-Dollar Foot-Long is also so, so over (bad). The new deal is called Sub-mageddon which…doesn’t sound like it will make people want to eat it.
Grub Street
Ben & Jerry’s has released four flavors of vegan ice cream: Chunky Monkey and Chocolate Fudge Brownie, and 2 exclusively vegan flavors: P.B. & Cookies and Coffee Caramel Fudge. Prepare for a lot of “it tastes exactly like regular ice cream!” and, even worse, “it’s actually BETTER than regular ice cream!”
Vice Munchies
Surprise: Chick-Fil-A thinks an all chicken nugget diet is not so bad for you. Coming from Chick-Fil-A, this sounds completely trustworthy and like something you should try.
Thrillist
Taking a lunch break is healthy for you. And important. Now you can say you’ve read it somewhere, and it’s totally true, so enough with the sad desk lunches.
