WATCH: Stephen Colbert Throws His Weight Behind Politicized Food
On last night’s Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert addressed the Chick-fil-A controversy, calling the debate a threat to “the sacred union between a company and its customers”. After all, “It’s AT&T, not AT & Steve!”
‘But Stephen Colbert,” you may be thinking, “Why are you so concerned about what Dan Cathy’s beliefs are?” Well, he feels the need to know the political beliefs of all of the food he eats (especially after finding out that Oreos are gay). He wants to eat “right wings” at Applebees and thinks Carl’s Jr. is anti-Obamacare.
But most of all, he thinks it’s important to acknowledge that Chick-fil-A is “pro-traditional marriage” since KFC proved not to be with their “lesbian fantasy snack”, the Doubledown. Is there anywhere someone can get a non-political chicken sandwich?
