WATCH: You Need to Order More Pizza, Because Math

 

We’ve all been there. It’s time to order some pizza, and you can’t decide whether to get two smalls or a large for everyone. Thanks to AsapSCIENCE on YouTube, we now have the clear answer. While a 16″ pizza may seem like double the size of 8″ pizza, the math you learned way back in the day proves that that’s not true. Remember using πr2 to find the area of a circle? Apply that to pizza:

See? A 16″ pizza is actually about 4 times the size of its 8″ counterpart. Go for it. Order the large. You deserve it.
